Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU Update on school fees review 2025.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) wishes to notify all students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi that the university management has reviewed and approved a new Undergraduate Schedule of Fees.
The increment is specifically attributed to Municipal Services and the Sport Levy;
Municipal Services
- Fresh Students: N20,000
- Returning Students: N15,000
Sport Levy
Fresh Students: N1,000
Returning Students: N200
PLEASE NOTE: The school fees for fresh students include an Acceptance Fee of #18,000 and Hostel Charges remain unchanged.
The breakdown of new fees is as follows:
1. a) Returning Students (All Faculties): N84,900
- b) Fresh Students (All Faculties): #118,700
2. a) Returning Students (College of Medical Science): #145,200
- b) Fresh Students (College of Medical Science): #189,000
3. a) Returning Students (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine): #115,200
- b) Fresh Students (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine): #159,000
We understand the concerns that may arise from this development, and as your representatives, the SUG is committed to engaging with the management to ensure that students’ welfare remains a priority.

Hostel Fees: The matter of hostel fees is still under discussion. The Students Union Government advocates against any increment in hostel fees. Instead, we are actively pushing for general renovations across the hostels to enhance living conditions.
We want to reassure every student that the Students Union Government is committed to protecting your interests. Our primary focus is on the welfare and well-being of students. We understand that these decisions may not align with everyone’s wishes, but we are sorry for inconveniences.
