Exceptionally Brilliant 14-year-old Nigerian Girl Wins 7 Medals in International Maths Contests
Cursory: A young Nigerian girl is being applauded online for her exceptional mathematical skills, the young girl who is a grade 11 student in Nigeria started excelling in maths at age 9 and has since won several medals from maths competitions across the world.
Fatima Adamu Maikusa, a 14-year-old student of NTIC, Kano has impressed Nigerians with her Mathematics prowess. She has won awards at various international Mathematics competitions with her medal count amounting up to 7.
Fatima is from Gombe state, Nigeria and she is said to have started excelling in Mathematics at the young age of 9.

A Facebook post made by Mathematics Professionals indicates that Fatima has won medals in Jakarta Indonesia, Bangkok Thailand, and Bulgaria. Fatima’s laurels were won at the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 08), International Eduversal Mathematics Competition, Jakarta Indonesia, and International Maths Challenge, Bangkok Thailand.
Others were won at Kangourou Sans Frontiers -KSF Mathematics Competitions, Future Intelligence Students Olympiad (FISO), Mathematics Without Borders, Bulgaria and Komodo Maths Festival, Indonesia.
