In JAMB, what is the meaning of Special Consideration (Waiver)??
It means, “additional requirement” for a particular course in a particular school. If your school have a special consideration for either O’level Requirement, UTME Subject Combination or Direct Entry Requirement, then please take note of it.
Note sometimes in special consideration column, the school requirement might be slight different from the general requirement. We advice you know your desired school’s special consideration for your course. ITS NECESSARY else you might be denied admission.
UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION
Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for Educational Administration and Educational Management;
English Language(*), and any three of Lit. in English, History, French, Geography/Physics, Economics and Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
(i) LAGOS accepts English Language and any three of Literature-in-English, History, Government, Geography, any Nigerian Language, CRS/IRS, Economics.
(ii) ABUJA and EKSU accept any three (3) Social Science subjects.
(iii) CALABAR accepts any three (3) of Literature in English, History/Government, Geography, Economics, Christian Religious Studies and Mathematics.
(iv) FED-OYE EKITI requires Economics, Mathematics and one other Social Science/Arts subject.
(v) ABU requires Use of English and any subjects.
(vi) FED-KASHERE requires Any three of Literature in English, History, French, Geography, Physics, Economics and Mathematics .
(vii) FED-DUTSINMA English Language and any other three subjects of Arts, Social Science or Science subjects.
O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION
Below is the UTME Requirement for Educational Administration and Educational Management;
Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and Economics
Five TC II merit passes including English and Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
(i) LAGOS requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Literature-in-English, History, Government, Economics, Geography, any Nigerian Language, CRS/IRS.
(ii) UNIZIK and ESUTECH do not insist on credit in Mathematics and Economics.
(iii) EKSU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one (1) sitting.
(iv) ABUJA and CALABAR do not insist on credit pass in Economics.
(v) FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) SSC credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
(vi) OAU requires; a) For candidates in proposed cognate subject areas (Economics, Political Science, Geography and Accounting) five (5) ‘O’ Level credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Government, Geography, Civic Education and Accounting. b) For cognate subject area (Mathematics) five ‘O’ Level credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other two (2) subjects. c) For cognate subject area (English Language) five (5) ‘O’ Level credits/TC II credits to include English Language and Literature in English and any other three (3) Teaching Arts subjects. d) For cognate subject area (Social Studies) five (5) ‘O’ Level/TC II credits to include English Language and at least two (2) of Economics, Geography, Government, History, Music, Fine Arts, Religious Studies, Home Economics and Yoruba.
(vii) ABU accepts Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts & Social Sciences including English Language and Mathematics.TC II with Five Credit including English Language with at least a pass in Mathematics.
(viii) FED-KASHERE requires Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science Subjects.
(ix) FED-DUTSINMA requires Five ‘O’ level Credits to include English Language, Mathematics and any three of Arts, Social Sciences or Science subjects.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION
Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Educational Administration and Educational Management;
Two (2)’A’ Level passes from Literature in English, History, Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo with ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics
NCE merit in the subjects listed above.
Two (2)’A’ Level passes from Literature in English, History, Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo with ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics.
NCE merit in the subjects listed above.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
(i) PHC – No Direct Entry.
(ii) CALABAR requires three (3) years post NCE qualification experience plus the ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics
(iii) ABSU – for three (3)-year programme, offers it as Educational Management.
(iv) UNIZIK requires ‘O’ Level / TC II credit/merit pass in Mathematics/Arithmetic. In addition, EKSU accepts a pass at NCE General English language in Lieu of ‘O’ Level credit pass in English Language.
(v) EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Economics. In addition, EKSU accepts NCE credit/merit in relevant subjects.
(vi) LAGOS accepts: NCE credit/merit in Arts, Social Sciences. Very good passes in any three JUBEP subjects: Economics, Literature-in-English, CRS/IRS, Government, History, Geography, Igbo/Yoruba and French. Three ‘A’ Level passes from English Language, History, French, Geography, Mathematics, Igbo/Yoruba, CRS/IRS, Economics and Government.
(vii) FED-OYE EKITI requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes/NCE (merit/credit) in relevant subjects.
(viii) OAU accepts ‘A’ Level credit passes in Economics for cognate area of Economics, Geography for cognate area of Geography, Government for cognate area of Political Science, Social Studies for proposed cognate area of Social Studies and Business Studies/Accounting (Double Major or combined) for cognate area of Accounting and one other Social Science subject or NCE credit passes in two (2) teaching or professional subject.
(ix) ABU accepts ABU Diploma in Administration and Planning or related field with minimum of Merit. NCE with Merit in Education and C in one of the Combination. Two ‘A’ Level/IJMB passes in any two Subjects.
(x) FED-KASHERE accepts Two A’ Level credit passes in relevant teaching subjects, NCE/Dip. with credit or merit passes in two relevant subjects of Arts & Social Sciences.
(xi) FED-DUTSINMA accepts Two ‘A’ level passes in Administration, Political Science or any other Arts and Social Science subjects from a recognized institution. ND/NCE with good grades from a recognized institution not below lower credit or nine (9) points.
