Lucy Hardie earned a PhD from the University of Auckland in New Zealand even after having five children.


Lucy Hardie, a mother of five from New Zealand’s Auckland recently received her doctorate degree which focuses on vaping research, from the University of Auckland in New Zealand,
Prior to this, Hardie had a master’s degree in public health and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences, she also said that her study topic has practical ramifications for her family.
Policy changes have resulted from Hardie’s research on vaping; in the nation of Oceania, cartoon advertising of vapes is now prohibited.
Lucy Hardie said that having a PhD has allowed her to demonstrate to her kids that she is capable of devoting her time to other pursuits.
Speaking on her huge achievement, she said:
“I’ve gained the theoretical knowledge of these issues, but my children gave me a lot of input and on-the-ground knowledge of what it’s really like”.
The happy mother expressed how much she appreciated learning to improve her organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
“It gave me intellectual stimulation and something to really focus on and counter the thousands of loads of laundry and dirty dishes. And a real sense of accomplishment”.
Another benefit, according to Hardie, was demonstrating to her kids that she could devote her time to other endeavors. She counseled others to stay persistent and never give up on finding intriguing things.
Her teenage children are Benjamin – 17, Amelia – 13, Sebastian – 19, Oliver – 16, and Leon -14.
