Tai Solarin, Alvan Ikoku, and Adeyemi have been rated as the best Colleges of Education in Nigeria by Webometrics.
Earlier, the Spain-based organisation ranked Yaba College of Technology, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, and Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu best polytechnics in Nigeria.
The University of Ibadan, Covenant University, and Obafemi Awolowo University were also ranked top universities in Nigeria by Webometrics in its latest rating.
Tai Solarin, which emerged best college of education in Nigeria, ranked 8310 in the world ranking of higher institutions.
While shedding light on the ranking criteria, the Management of Webometric, a leading Spain-based Institutions ranking organisation stated that four ranking factors were used which include; openness rank, impact rank, presence rank, and excellence rank.
It noted those four factors were the criteria used to determine which Polytechnic tops the table out of all Polytechnic Institutions in Nigeria.
The Ranking Web or Webometrics is the “largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institution” based on the assessment of Composite Indicators and Web Impact Factors”.
