Prosper Dzitse, who lost his father at 13, has overcome immense challenges to secure the prestigious UK Chevening Scholarship, allowing him to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Dundee.
Reflecting on his journey, Prosper shared on Facebook how he initially lost hope for his education after his father’s passing. Despite a difficult family background—his father had no formal education, and his mother had to leave school due to financial constraints—he persevered with the help of supportive mentors, family, and his faith.
Out of over 58,000 global applicants, Prosper was among the top 2% selected for this prestigious scholarship, managed by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to foster future global leaders. He will study International Business and Human Resource Management, with hopes to blend his expertise in business development with people management to drive productivity.
Expressing deep gratitude, he thanked his wife, family, and mentors, particularly Dr. Jeff Bassey and Cocoa360, for their unwavering support. Prosper believes this scholarship and the Chevening network will empower him to expand his leadership skills and positively impact his community.
