As part of their contribution to the education of children, serving Corps Members with the Nigeria Customs Service in Jigaa Local Council Council of Kano State recently awarded 50 indigent Kano students free WAEC scholarship.
The Corps members formally handed over the payment receipt to the Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammed Sanusi Sa’idu kiru, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso.

Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner, Hajiya Lauratu urged beneficiaries of the scholarship to reciprocate the gesture bypassing their examination with good grades, adding that about six hundred and ninety-seven thousand, five hundred (697, 500) was used to purchase the form.
The Corpers Liason Officer, Comrade Aina Ola Emmanuel, who spoke at the event, said the aim was to assist and encourage indigent students to be serious with their education and aspire for greatness.
