A Nigerian pupil, Egejurum Onyedikachi, emotionally recounted overcoming a difficult start to win a gold medal and emerge as the world’s best in Primary Mathematics at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Final in Rome, Italy.
Young Nigerian mathematics prodigy Egejurum Onyedikachi has shared his heartfelt experience after emerging as the top performer in the Primary Mathematics category at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Final held in Rome, Italy.
His outstanding achievement earned him a gold medal, drawing praise from Nigerians who celebrated his brilliance, determination, and the pride he has brought to the country. The international competition featured exceptional students from different nations competing in advanced mathematical and problem-solving challenges.
Reflecting on the experience, Onyedikachi revealed that the competition did not begin smoothly for him. Although he felt discouraged at first, he remained focused and pushed through the challenges.
According to him, “It went well, and I’m happy with the outcome. The beginning was difficult, and I felt sad, but I didn’t cry. In the end, I came out victorious and brought home a gold medal for Nigeria.”
