The National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) has commenced the 2026 Dual Mode June/July SAISSCE (Internal) Examination.

The dual mode is a combination of Paper and Pen and Computer-Based Examinations (CBE) aimed at gradual transition to full CBE.
Monitoring the conduct of the examination in Kaduna, the Registrar and Chief Executive of NBAIS, Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam, expressed satisfaction with the dual mode, describing the initiative as a strong commitment to implementing the Federal Government’s policy on the digitisation of public examinations and improving the credibility, efficiency and integrity of the process.
Professor Yahuza reaffirmed that NBAIS, as the national examination body for Integrated Arabic and Islamic Schools across Nigeria, is totally committed to embracing technology-driven assessment methods that meet global standards and seamless service delivery to candidates nationwide.
This development, he said, aligns with the vision of the Federal Ministry of Education, led by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, who has consistently advocated the transition of public examinations to Computer-Based Examinations to strengthen examination integrity, curb malpractices, enhance transparency and prepare Nigeria’s education system for the digital age.
Observers say NBAIS’ successful rollout of Computer-Based Examinations has further demonstrated the Board’s readiness to key into the Federal Government’s ongoing reforms aimed at modernising education and building a technology-driven future for Nigerian learners under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
