An American university has distanced itself from a tweet shared one its employee who is a Nigerian professor.
Professor Uju Anya had tweeted that she wished Queen Elizabeth excruciating pain few hours before she died.
In response to her post Carnegie Mellon University where she teaches, shared a post saying that they acknowledge that she she posted it on her personal account and that the University is not against Free expression and it is the core mission of higher education.
The University however stated, that although they are not against freedom of expression , her views does not represent the values of the institution nor the standard of discourse they hope to foster.
