Adebisi Yusuff Adebayo, a talented Nigerian scholar, has made history after earning scholarship to four (4) top colleges in the United Kingdom with his superb pharmacy degree.
Yusuff Adebayo received an exceptional first-class Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Ibadan in South-West Nigeria (B.Pharm).
He became one of the university’s top graduating students.The inspiring young man, however, went on to submit applications for scholarships in the UK because his love of research continues to be his primary priority.
Yusuff explained that he applied for scholarships at four top UK universities including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, the University of Nottingham and the University of Southampton.His applications were considered by the four universities and they all granted him scholarship offers to join their respective institutions.
The University of Cambridge offered him a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Population Health Sciences, and the University of Cambridge offered him an MPH in Global Health.The University of Southampton and the University of Oxford offered him an MSc in Global Health and an MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology respectively.
Left with the option of selecting one of the four options, Yusuff Adebayo revealed that he has decided to enrol at the prestigious University of Oxford on a fully funded scholarship, making him one of the eight scholars nominated to the University of Oxford.
Yusuff Adebayo continued by saying that in addition to the Kevin Molloy Fellowship from Knowledge-Action-Change, he had also received two nominations and one reservation for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships.He wishes his experience might encourage other young people to work hard and pursue their goals.
“The voyage has been interesting and filled with a range of feelings. Another example of how your background is never a barrier is my story.
“I am incredibly enthusiastic about this new stage of my life, particularly the chance to develop my skills in global health research in this top-notch learning environment,”he added.
He expresses gratitude to God, his teachers, and his family for their help. He expressed his gratitude to God, his mentors, his family, friends, funders, instructors, lecturers, and everyone else who had helped him along the way.
