A Lagos Federal High Court has sentenced BRT bus driver Andrew Ominikoron to death by hanging for the murder of 22-year-old fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwola.
The case gained national attention in 2022 after Bamise was declared missing following her boarding of a BRT bus in Lagos. Days later, her lifeless body was discovered, sparking outrage and calls for justice.
During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence linking Ominikoron to her death.
