Suleiman Rahama Onono, a 20-year-old student of Federal College of Education, Okene, was found dead in a bush at Eika-Adagu community along the Okene-Lokoja highway. Her body was discovered Monday after search efforts by relatives and local security operatives.
Onono was reported missing January 24, 2026, after leaving home and failing to contact her family. Family members were horrified to find her breasts and genitals removed.
The police evacuated her body to Okengwe General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Security agencies launched a full investigation into her disappearance and death.
Residents of Camp 2, where the body was found, expressed fear over rising insecurity. They called for urgent security measures, including streetlights, to deter crimes.
The area has become notorious for criminal activities, including recent killings of two okada riders whose motorcycles were stolen. The college management reassured students and staff of improved safety.
The incident reignited concerns about security, with calls for heightened measures to protect students.
