A Nigerian graduate has gone viral after revealing that a man she barely knew surprised her with a ₦600,000 cash gift to celebrate her university graduation.
The lady, identified on X as @theBigMira_, shared screenshots of their conversation and proof of the bank transfer after announcing that she had completed her studies.
According to the messages, the man congratulated her on graduating and said he wanted to celebrate the achievement with a monetary gift. However, the graduate politely declined, saying his congratulatory message was more than enough.
Despite her response, the man insisted on sending something, explaining that life after school could be challenging and that he wanted to support her as she began a new chapter.
After she eventually shared her bank account details, she received an alert showing that ₦600,000 had been credited to her account.
Overwhelmed by the unexpected generosity, she expressed her gratitude, saying she had expected only a small gift and could hardly believe the amount she received.
The benefactor wished her success as she prepared to enter the labour market.
Sharing the experience on X, the graduate said she was too shocked to post about it immediately and added that the gesture reminded her that there are still kind and generous people in the world.
Her post quickly gained attention on social media, with many users congratulating her on her graduation while applauding the donor’s generosity. Others described the gift as a heartwarming act of kindness that came from an unexpected source.
