FUTO Lecturer Prof. Emeka Emmanuel Oguzie named among the world’s best scientists

Professor of Chemistry, Emeka Emmanuel Oguzie of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has been named among the world’s best scientists. Prof. E. E. Oguzie, who is one of the few from an African-based institution, was selected from a US-based Stanford University report recently released, which represents barely the top 2 per cent of the most-cited scientists in various fields.
The database was reportedly created to provide updated analyses and publicly available database of top global scientists that provide standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, as well as a composite indicator.
It was reported that about 1,500 scientists, doctors, and engineers made it to the list.
The entire FUTO Community, particularly the Management led by Prof. F. C. Eze, celebrates this Nigerian professor of note, as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) wishes him well in his future endeavours.
