Samuel Adegboyega University Ogwa, Edo State has once again given a three hundred thousand naira (N300, 000) scholarship to twenty indigent students in the Community Secondary School to enroll in the forthcoming Senior Secondary School Examination.
Each of the 20 students selected from the four quarters in the community were given fifteen thousand naira each.
Presenting the scholarship in the Onogie’s Palace in Ogwa, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Babatude Idowu, said that the scholarship was part of the University’s continuous effort to identify with the host community.
Responding, the Onogie of Ogwa, HRN V. Ehizogie II, thanked the University for the gesture. He added that the University remains a source of joy to the community.
It will be recalled that the University has been giving such scholarships to students in the community for over four years.
