A total number of 6,210 students were matriculated by the Nasarawa State University on Friday 26th February 2020.
Of the number, the Faculty of Social Sciences had the highest intake with 1,885 students, followed by the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences with 1,390 students and the Faculty of Administration with 1,201 students.


The Faculty of Education has 683 students, Faculty of Arts 496 Students, Faculty of Agriculture 245 students, Faculty of Environmental Sciences 244, and the Faculty of Law with 66 students respectively.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed in his welcome address at the occasion admonished students to shun all forms of unethical conducts, exam malpractice and anti-social behaviors in totality because the University has zero-tolerance for such vices.
Professor Suleiman further informed the students that the whistle blowing policy of his administration was initiated to further regulate the conduct of both staff and students aimed at entrenching the culture of morality and sound attitudinal behaviors.
Highlights of the occasion was the administration of the matriculation oath on the students by the University Registrar Mallam Bala I. Ahmed II.
Thereafter the Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers proceeded to the Faculty of Agric, Shabu-Campus in Lafia for the administration of the Matriculation oath on students of the Faculty.
