The authorities of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) Ikere Arakija, Osun State, have revealed that they will reward all their first-class graduates with the sum of twenty-five thousand naira.


The Christ Apostolic Church-established private university also disclosed that their two best graduating students, David Oreoluwa Babalola, and Peter Abegunrin, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.97 will be rewarded with automatic employment.
This was disclosed by the university’s vice-chancellor, Prof. Kola Sonaike, during their pre-convocation briefing.
He went further to disclose that 25 out of 511 graduands bagged the First Class honours, 202 got the Second class upper, 213 made Second class lower, 70 got Third class while one student got the pass degree.
He further lamented that it was worrisome that the Nigerian government is yet to include private universities to benefit from grants and support from Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).
