The management of the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi state popularly called Idah Poly has withdrawn twenty-six students over poor academic performance and expelled three others over examination malpractice.


According to Omale Sule Sunday, the Public Relations Officer of the Institution, the withdrawal and expulsion is in line with the Academic Regulations of the Federal Polytechnic Idah.
The twenty-six students were withdrawn from the university following their poor performance in the 2019/2020 academic session Main/Carryover Examination Results
Three expelled students were found guilty of various acts of Examination Misconduct during the 2019/2020 2nd Semester Examinations.
The withdrawn students cut across seven departments both at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.
Below is the breakdown of the withdrawn students:
- Marketing Department – 7 students,
- Architectural Technology Department – 1 student,
- Public Administration – 1 student,
- Food Science and Technology – 6 students,
- Business Administration and Management Studies 4 students.
