It was reported that a female student of the Gombe State University has been arrested by the school security and handed over to the police for allegedly throwing a day-old baby from a three-storey building.
It was also gathered that the baby died due to the heaviness of the fall.
The female student not knowing how to carter for the child after the delivery, took upon herself to end the child.
The Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Abubakar, confirmed the incident and handed the student to the police.
When contacted about the identity of the lady, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, said the police were still gathering details.
