The Federal Government is currently intensifying efforts to make NECO Exams compulsory for all schools across the nation.


This was disclosed by the Registration of the Council, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, when he visited the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, in Calabar.
The examinations involved are the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
The registrar disclosed that the council has secured the approval of the Cross River State Government to make all public examinations conducted by NECO compulsory for all public schools in the state.
