CURSORY: Seven students in Nasarawa State Polytechnic have been suspended.

As a means of upholding the school’s values/reputation, Isah Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP) in Nasarawa state has rusticated seven students for sharing immoral photos on social media at a graduation ceremony.
The institution’s public relations officer, Mr. Ali Hassan Mohammed, made the announcement in a statement, according to Daily Trust.
All of the affected students are female, and will be rusticated for one academic session. They also need to show letters of undertaking from their parents promising to behave well when they return for the 2023–2024 school year.
During a meeting on October 4, 2023, Isah Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP) in Nasarawa state approved the rustication.
The reason given was the students’ involvement in displaying indecent content, and the damage they caused to the institution’s reputation.
Dr. Justina Anjiode Kotso, the polytechnic’s rector, issued a warning to all students to avoid social vices and anything that could get them into trouble, assuring them that the administration would not sacrifice standards or academic excellence.
The Academic Board has decided that the seven female students would experience rustication for one academic session.
