Tragic Incident: KWASU Students Allegedly Beat Fellow Student to Death

Cursory: Four students from Kwara State University allegedly beat another student to death in a private hostel outside the school. The incident occurred about two weeks ago, and the deceased, whose name remains undisclosed, succumbed to injuries inflicted during the assault. Police confirmed the incident, noting that the investigation is ongoing.

In a shocking turn of events, four students from Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, have been accused of fatally assaulting a fellow student. The incident, which reportedly occurred in one of the private hostels outside the school premises, has left the university community reeling with shock and disbelief.

According to reports from Vanguard and Daily Trust, the tragic incident unfolded when the four students, whose identities are yet to be disclosed, allegedly attacked the victim over accusations of unauthorized filming.

The victim, whose name remains unknown at this time, was reportedly unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for filming the assailants without their consent.

Witnesses, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the assault resulted in severe injuries that ultimately led to the victim’s untimely death.

The news of the tragic incident has sent shockwaves throughout the university and beyond, prompting swift action from the authorities.

Confirming the incident, the state police public relations officer, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi (DSP), acknowledged the arrest of the alleged culprits.

“The alleged culprits were four, but I cannot confirm their names now. They have been arrested while an investigation is still ongoing over the matter,” she said.

While the identities of the suspects remain undisclosed, DSP Ejire-Adeyemi assured the public that investigations are underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
