UNILAG Student: Video of Super TV CEO’s Alleged Killer Cat-Walking for Miss Cell Pageant in Prison Goes Viral

Chidinma Ojukwu, the UNILAG student accused of killing Super TV CEO, Michael Ataga, has once again got Nigerians talking on social media.

A video recently made the rounds online of the young lady cat-walking and also dancing on a red carpet in prison.

Chidinma had participated in the Miss Cell 2022 beauty pageant in prison to mark International Women’s Day.

In the video, Chidinma wore a blue dress with white headgear and high-heeled shoes as she walked down the runway.

Before completing her walk, the young lady broke into a short traditional dance while smiling beautifully.

Some reactions to the video:

I do not in anyway applaud chidinma for what she did. But you see people that have committed worse in prisons abroad attend classes, engage in volley ball, take up careers and all of that. It’s a correction and rehabilitation center. I personally do not see anything wrong with this. She’s still in prison. People serve and still come out to be of great value to our society. They’re all alleged criminals, whether or not she won shouldn’t make a difference. I’m sure people there also commuted heinous crimes.

This is a correctional facility, meanwhile, she has not been convicted. These things are done in prisons all over the world.

They are engaged in acts like this to keep their mind busy, and to reform them. Nigerians mindset about prisons and inmates is the reason most of our prisons are dilapidated. That someone is in a prison doesn’t mean their life should end and they should rotten.

Besides, Chidimma is still a suspect, until proven guilty by the court of law. She is in the prison because she committed a capital offence and can’t be granted bail. Though in some cases, some are granted, especially in terms of self defence.
