A woman expressed concern that she and her husband are no longer on the same level after she earned a Master’s degree despite him supporting her education, while he chose not to further his own studies.

A Nigerian woman has stirred reactions online after opening up about feeling uneasy in her marriage due to the difference in educational levels between her and her husband.
She shared that when they got married, she only had a secondary school certificate, while her husband held a National Diploma (ND). Determined to improve herself, she continued her education over the years, balancing school with raising children, managing a job, and running a business.
According to her, her husband played a major role in her success by supporting her emotionally and financially, even paying her school fees throughout her academic journey. However, despite her encouragement, he chose not to further his own education.
Now that she has earned a Master’s degree, she admitted that she sometimes feels uncomfortable when discussing her husband’s qualifications among her peers. This has led her to feel like they are no longer on the same level academically.
She expressed confusion about her emotions, questioning whether her feelings are justified or if she is simply overthinking the situation, and asked others if they had experienced something similar.
