As the winner, Daniel received a tablet, a school bag, a mathematical set, and writing materials, among other prizes.

Temitope Akinrotimi, the Programme Manager of Children Empowerment Fund, mentioned that approximately 600 words were provided to the children to learn, including their spellings and synonyms, to help expand their knowledge and prepare them for global competition.

Akinrotimi urged the government to support NGOs in their collaborative efforts to assist children, such as the agency’s ‘Back to School Project,’ which currently has about 200 children on its scholarship list.

Mrs. Esther Martins, Head of Academics and School Services in Abeokuta, praised the programme, highlighting that spelling is a critical skill for mastering the English language.

A delighted Daniel expressed her gratitude to the organizers, noting that she had studied diligently for the competition.
