Amid widespread failure in the 2025 WAEC exams, Nigerian student Emmanuella Chidiebube went viral for earning seven A1s, drawing national praise and sparking social media reactions.


A young Nigerian student, Emmanuella Chidiebube, has become the focus of national attention after her outstanding performance in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) was shared online.
A student of Chris International School, Emmanuella’s result went viral when Facebook user Gadafi Idreez posted her photo and score sheet, drawing widespread praise and admiration from Nigerians across social media.
According to the post, Emmanuella earned A1 in seven subjects—Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Civic Education, Marketing, and Economics. She also scored B3 in Mathematics and C4 in English Language.
Her remarkable achievement stands out amid this year’s mass failure, with WAEC reporting that over 60% of candidates failed to obtain credit passes in core subjects like Mathematics and English.
In his celebratory post, Gadafi Idreez wrote:
