The convocation ceremony also recognized outstanding contributions to scholarship and humanity. Two retired academics, Prof. James Olowokudejo and Prof. Duro Oni, were honored as Emeritus Professors, while Prof. Akinsanya Osibogun was conferred with the title of Distinguished Professor.

Prof. Ogunsola emphasized the importance of academic excellence, announcing that gold medals would be awarded to Prof. Ayoka Olusakin, a Professor of Counselling Psychology.
