CURSORY: The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will hold an emergency with NEC to deliberate on next step in respect to the ongoing.

Recall that ASUU had stated that there is hope at the end of the tunnel following their recent negotiations with the government on the ongoing strike.
The speaker of the house of representatives had also revealed that agreements had been signed and the strike will be called off in weeks.
The president of ASUU had later come out to debunk any news stating that the union had suspended the ongoing.
In recent developments, the National Executive Council, NEC, Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, is expected to hold tomorrow, during which the union will deliberate on recent developments in the face-off between it and the federal government.
Sources told Vanguard that the NEC meeting would be preceded by congresses in its branches nationwide today.
In line with its tradition, the NEC meeting would start late on Thursday and the decision made public early Friday morning when the ongoing strike is expected to be called off. Incidentally, that day would mark the eighth month the industrial action started.
