University of Ibadan Announces Student/Staff Exchange Program With Australian Varsities

Cursory: During a visit to the University of Ibadan (UI), Nigerian High Commissioner Ambassador Anderson Madubike announced upcoming exchange programs between UI and Australian universities. The purpose of the visit was to facilitate student and lecturer exchanges and promote collaboration. A delegation from Australia will visit UI, UNILAG, and University of Nigeria, Nsukka to explore partnership opportunities. Prof. Ayoola assured the visitor of UI’s commitment to collaboration and building a strong future for the institution.

During a visit to the University of Ibadan (UI), Ambassador Anderson Madubike, the Nigerian High Commissioner responsible for Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, and the Pacifics, revealed that staff and students from the University of Ibadan and Australian universities will engage in exchange programs.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of UI, Prof. Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola, welcomed Ambassador Madubike on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode O. Adebowale.

The purpose of the visit was to promote and facilitate student and lecturer exchange programs between UI and Australian universities.

Ambassador Madubike also shared that a special delegation from Australia would visit UI, University of Lagos (UNILAG), and University of Nigeria, Nsukka in October 2023 to further explore collaboration and partnership opportunities.

In response, Prof. Ayoola assured the visitor that UI is always open to collaborating with other universities.

He highlighted that the current university management is dedicated to building upon the achievements of past administrations and laying a strong foundation for the future of the institution.
