A frustrated father called out his 2-year-old daughter’s school on social media for giving her homework despite her inability to speak, sparking mixed reactions online about early childhood education and parental responsibility.

A concerned father has taken to social media to criticize his toddler’s school after they gave a homework assignment to his 2-year-old daughter—despite the fact that she hasn’t started speaking yet.
In a now-viral video, the visibly upset dad questioned the logic behind giving homework to such a young child, especially on only the second day after resumption. Expressing his frustration, he demanded a refund of the school fees and vowed not to send his daughter back to the school.
He explained that his initial intention in enrolling his daughter was to help her stay engaged while allowing the family some rest at home—not to burden them with academic tasks. “Who exactly is supposed to do this assignment?” he asked in the video, pointing out that his daughter clearly couldn’t handle it.
The man said it felt unfair to work hard, pay fees, and still be saddled with doing homework meant for a toddler who hasn’t even begun to speak. Wrapping up his rant, he sent a stern message to the school’s proprietor, insisting on a refund and confirming his daughter would not be returning.

“Must every issue be posted online? Is social media where you’ll get your refund? Everything these days goes straight to the timeline.” - Emmanuel:
“Oga just help your daughter with the simple math now. You wan dodge am?” - Tobaaaaa:
“Definitely a private school. First day and they’re already giving a 2-year-old homework? The child should be playing, not doing assignments.” - AlphaMaxii:
“It’s funny. Most schools give assignments knowing full well the parents will end up doing it. Doesn’t make sense.” - Zionpearl:
“No rest for you, sir! You’re a father! If God hadn’t blessed you, you’d be hopping from MFM to NSPPD to IVF clinics. She’s two—you want to rest? 😂😂” - Asgard:
“My 1-year-old starts school next week. I won’t accept any assignments until he can read and write. The goal now is socializing, not academics.”
