Welkin International College in Ogun State has attracted more admission interest after recording impressive 2026 UTME results, including a student’s outstanding 98 in Mathematics, following its recent successes in major mathematics competitions.
Welkin International College, located in Atan Ota, Ogun State, is attracting increased attention from parents and prospective students following its impressive performance in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The Day and Boarding school recorded strong results across several subjects, with one of its students achieving an outstanding score of 98 in Mathematics. The school’s chairman, Mr Beckley Adebayo, said the result reflects the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and a strong learning culture.
Adebayo attributed the students’ performance to structured teaching, thorough examination preparation and a disciplined academic environment. He also highlighted the school’s strict zero-tolerance policy towards examination malpractice, saying students are encouraged to succeed through hard work and integrity.
The chairman noted that the latest UTME performance adds to the school’s record of achievements in mathematics competitions. Welkin International College won the World Mathematics Tournament in 2024 and also emerged victorious in the junior category of the Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition in 2025.
According to Adebayo, the school’s growing academic reputation has led to increased enquiries from parents within Ogun State and other parts of the country. He confirmed that admission is currently open for students interested in both the Day and Boarding programmes.
The development comes amid growing interest in outstanding UTME performances across Nigeria, with other parents also sharing their children’s results online after the 2026 examination. Welkin’s latest achievement has further strengthened its reputation among families seeking schools that combine academic performance with broader student development.
