Oluchi Anthonia brings pride to her school, Tansian University by graduating with a CGPA of 4.96.


Oluchi Anthonia Umeaso has elevated the reputation of Tansian University by graduating with a final grade point average of 4.96 out of 5.0 from the Department of Microbiology.
This achievement was announced in a press release from the university on Tuesday.
According to the release, her GPA made her the top graduating student during the 7th-12th Convocation Ceremony held at the university’s Umunya Campus in Anambra State.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Eugene Nwadialor congratulated Oluchi, expressing pride that such an accomplishment was achieved during his tenure. He noted that such high grades are rare in Nigerian universities.
The Chancellor, Sen. Dr. Victor Umeh, acknowledged Oluchi’s dedication, urging her to continue representing the university positively.
Associate Professor Nnamdi Umeoduagu, Head of the Microbiology Department, praised Oluchi’s exceptional performance and encouraged other students to follow her example.
In her valedictory speech, Oluchi advised Nigerian youths to value education, thanking her parents, the university’s staff, and her lecturers for their support.
During the convocation, Chief Emmanuel ‘Bishop’ Okonkwo and Sir Kingsley Udechukwu, honorary doctorate recipients, rewarded Oluchi. Sir Udechukwu gave her a one million Naira cheque, and Chief Okonkwo offered her a scholarship for a Master’s degree at any university in the UK, Canada, or the USA.
