Niran Adetoro, the Vice-Chancellor of Gerard University of Medical Sciences in Imope-Ijebu, Ogun State, has called on all tertiary institutions in Nigeria to collaborate with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).


Niran Adetoro, Vice-Chancellor of Gerard University of Medical Sciences in Imope-Ijebu, Ogun State, has called on all tertiary institutions in Nigeria to collaborate with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Adetoro praised JAMB’s management for its significant contributions.
In response, JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede encouraged institutions to prioritize compliance with the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). CAPS, developed under Oloyede’s leadership, is an online platform designed to automate and streamline Nigeria’s admission procedures.
The call for cooperation was made during Gerard University’s maiden matriculation ceremony. Professor Adetoro emphasized the importance of a properly managed admission process for achieving the institution’s goals and fostering higher education without discrimination.
Prof. Oloyede, represented by Ogun State Coordinator Hakeem AbdulHameed, congratulated Gerard University on its matriculation ceremony and urged the institution to adhere to CAPS. He also advised the pioneer students to prioritize their studies and set a good example for future cohorts.
