Twenty abducted medical students in Benue State have been rescued, with one kidnapper killed and two captured, and have been transferred to Abuja for medical evaluation.
Twenty medical students who were abducted last week in Benue State have been rescued and moved to Abuja for medical evaluation.
A security personnel involved in the rescue operation revealed that one kidnapper was killed and two others were captured during the mission.
The Benue Police Command confirmed the successful rescue on Friday night, with the students being freed from Ajide Forest in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.
The forest, located between Ado and Okpokwu Local Government Areas in Benue South, was the site of the operation where security forces, supported by surveillance helicopters, launched the raid on the kidnappers’ hideout.
