Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has extended a hand of compassion to ABDULHAKIM Abubakar Suru, a student with special needs, by presenting him with a brand-new motorcycle.


This gesture took place at the maiden Convocation of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) where ABDULHAKIM who before now, relied on a wheelchair for mobility, is undergoing a degree course.
In addition to this act of kindness, the Kebbi State Government has also pledged to employ him as a teacher, in recognition of his qualification as holder of the National Certificate on Education, NCE.
He is at present, pursuing a B.Sc. in Education.
The Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Governor, Alhaji Shafi’u Abubakar Zauro, who disclosed this, conveyed the acknowledgement of Governor Nasir Idris, that ‘there is ability in disability’.
