Federal Poly of Oil & Gas, Bonny Announces New Appointments .


The Management of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, has pronounced the appointment of two Deputy Rectors in the capacity of Academic and Administration. They are, Engr. Dr Binfa Bongfa Deputy Rector (Academic) and Dr Noel Akos Deputy Rector (Administration).
The appointment of Deputy Rectors (Academic and Administration) in Nigerian polytechnics is governed by the Federal Polytechnics Act. Candidates undergo scrutiny to assess their academic leadership, administrative experience, integrity, and technological proficiency.
The two appointees have been proven to be competent in the following areas:
Experience: Demonstrated leadership in academic and administrative roles, with a proven track record in policy formulation and management.
Publications: Evidence of scholarly publications in recognized journals and participation in academic conferences.
Professional Standing: Membership in professional bodies recognized by the Federal Government.
Vision: Initiative and vision with the capacity to contribute to the polytechnic’s development.
Integrity: Strong moral character, impeccable integrity, and sound physical and mental health.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Key Responsibilities
The Deputy Rectors serve as crucial principal officers of the polytechnic, often stepping in for the Rector in their absence and representing the institution at various forums.
