4-Year-Old Genius Scores 99% on IQ Test, Joins Mensa as One of the Smartest People in the World

At just 4 years old, Zorien Royce from Illinois scored 156 on an IQ test—placing him in the 99th percentile—earning him a spot in Mensa and global recognition as one of the world’s youngest and smartest minds.

Zorien Royce, a brilliant 4-year-old boy from Vernon Hills, Illinois, has earned global recognition after scoring in the 99th percentile on an IQ test, making him one of the youngest members of Mensa, the prestigious society for individuals with exceptional intelligence.

His parents, Md Naqib Alam Ansari and Monirupa Ananya, noticed Zorien’s extraordinary abilities as early as 18 months old. By the age of two, he was already reading books, spelling complex words like hippopotamus, and counting both forward and backward to 100.

Recognizing his giftedness, the family consulted a psychologist, and testing revealed an IQ score of 156 out of 160, placing Zorien in the top 1% of his age group. This result qualified him for both Mensa and Intertel, another elite high-IQ society.

Despite being only four, Zorien reads at a second-grade level, is fluent in English and Bengali, and is currently learning Spanish, French, and Hindi. He also shows a strong interest in fractions and space science, often expressing his dream of becoming a NASA scientist. His favorite place? “The library,” he says.

Mensa highlighted his achievement on Instagram, calling him proof that “curiosity knows no age limits.”

While nurturing his intellectual gifts, Zorien’s parents stress the importance of emotional balance, ensuring he also enjoys play, fun, and the simple joys of childhood.
