The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved three new programmes for Crescent University, Abeokuta commencing from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programmes are LLM Law, BSc Cyber Security and BSc Software Engineering.
A letter of approval for the three programmes was handed over to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila by the Acting Director of Academic Planning of the NUC, Abubakar Girei on behalf of the Executive Secretary Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu.
Prof. Gbajabiamila also paid a working visit to the Executive Secretary of the Commission, who congratulated the former on the breakthrough to commence the programmes.
In a letter dated 13th November 2025 and marked NUC/AP/P21/VOL.II/12, the Acting Director, Academic Planning of the NUC, Abubakar Girei who signed on behalf of the Executive Secretary stated as follows:
“I am directed to inform the Vice-Chancellor that the Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of the following programmes to be run in the main campus of the university with effect from 2025/2026 academic session:
- LLM Law
- BSc Cyber Security and
- BSc Software Engineering
Please accept the assurances of the Executive Secretary’s kind regards”, the letter concluded.
