The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna), has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence six new undergraduate academic programmes in the 2026/2027 academic session.


The approval follows a resource assessment exercise conducted by a panel of experts from the NUC to evaluate the human and material resources available for the establishment of the proposed programmes at the University.
The newly approved full-time programmes are:
- B.Tech. Artificial Intelligence
- B.Tech. Intelligence and Security Studies
- B.Eng. Nuclear Engineering
- B.Tech. Nuclear Science
- B.Tech. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
- B.Eng. Mining Engineering
The approval was conveyed in a letter signed on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, by the Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei.
According to the letter, the programmes will be offered on a full-time basis at the University’s Main Campus and will take effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.
