16-Year-Old Girl Scores 310 in JAMB, Emerges Best Graduating Student and Wins Multiple Awards

16-year-old Abolade Asekunoreoluwa Naomi scored 310 in the 2026 JAMB, emerged as the Best Graduating Student at Cenfex High School, and credited her success to consistent personal study, family support, adequate rest and determination.

A 16-year-old Nigerian student, Abolade Asekunoreoluwa Naomi, has celebrated an impressive academic achievement after scoring 310 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and emerging as the Best Graduating Student at Cenfex High School, Makola.

Naomi’s achievement was announced by her elder sister, who took to social media to celebrate her younger sibling’s success. According to her, Naomi graduated as the school’s Best Graduating Student and also recorded the highest JAMB score among her classmates. She shared pictures showing some of the awards Naomi received during her graduation.

Speaking about her future plans, Naomi revealed that she hopes to study Economics at the university. She explained that she was previously in the commercial department and developed a strong interest in Economics because of the analytical thinking required in the field.

The brilliant student also explained that she prepared for her examinations without attending extra lessons. Instead, she relied heavily on personal study, past questions and support from her family. She said her father strongly believed that students needed adequate rest for their brains to function effectively, a principle she adopted throughout her secondary school years.

Naomi revealed that she discovered she was more productive at night, so she structured her study routine around that period. She usually took afternoon naps after school and studied for about two to three hours each day when examinations were still some distance away. As exams approached, she increased the amount of time she spent studying.

Despite her impressive performance, Naomi admitted that her preparation was not always easy. She experienced periods of self-doubt, tiredness and times when she was not feeling well enough to study. However, she encouraged herself to focus on what she could still accomplish rather than dwelling on what she had not achieved.

The 16-year-old advised other JAMB candidates and students to set meaningful goals and remain focused on achieving them. She encouraged students to picture the joy of accomplishing their goals and to believe that they are capable of achieving great things through consistent effort.

Naomi’s story has attracted attention as another example of a young Nigerian student combining determination, family support and a personal study routine to achieve outstanding academic results.
