How to Remove your Phone Number on Do-Not-Disturb (DND) for networks like MTN, Airtel, 9mobile, and Glo
What is “Do Not Disturb” (DND): This service allows network (MTN, AIRTEL, GLO and ETISALAT) users opt-out of receiving unsolicited third party messages and calls.
Websites like JAMB, Allschool may need to send you some messages and if your number is on DND, you will not receive the message. For example if your number is on DND and JAMB sends you your UTME result, you won’t see the result.
This DND is actually meant to stop disturbing promotional messages and calls from your network. Most new sim card are on DND by default.
How to remove your Number on DND (all Networks)
To deactivate DND on any 9mobile (Etisalat) number, Text START to 2442.
To deactivate DND on any MTN number, Text ALLOW to 2442.
To deactivate DND on any Glo number, Text CANCEL to 2442.
To deactivate DND on any Airtel number, Text ALLOW to 2442.
Once you send the message, it will be active within 24hours. Once its active, you will start receiving messages from third parties (website that uses bulk sms like JAMB, Allschool, etc).
