The Federal University of Technology Akure has scored 100 percent in the accreditation of courses recently undertaken by the National Universities Commission, NUC.


Communicating the result of the Exercise to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape, the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Professor Abubakar Abdulrasheed said the exercise was carried out between March and April 2021 as the exercise originally scheduled for 2020 could not hold because of the COVID-19 Global pandemic.
He said the full accreditation earned by FUTA subsists for five years.
The Nigerian university Commission NUC as part of its mandate has fully accredited the following courses in the following schools:
- Basic Medical Science
- Human anatomy
- Physiology
- Engineering and Information Technology
- Industrial and Communication Technology
- Industrial and Production Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Building
- Remote Sensing and Geo-Science Information
Professor Fuwape has welcomed the full accreditation describing it as a validation of the excellence of FUTA faculty members and programmes.
