A headless man’s body was found inside the University of Jos, triggering panic and a police investigation.

Fear spread across the University of Jos (UNIJOS) after the body of a middle-aged man was discovered on farmland within the university’s permanent site. The victim’s head was missing, leaving students, staff and nearby residents shocked.
According to information gathered at the scene, the deceased was not a student or an employee of the university. Preliminary findings indicate that he was a farmer who regularly cultivated crops on the land where his body was found.
Witnesses said the body was discovered early in the morning. University officials believe the victim had arrived at the farm as part of his usual routine before he was attacked. The circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear, but initial indications suggest the assailants deliberately targeted him before fleeing with his severed head.
The victim’s family has been informed, and arrangements were made to remove the body. University authorities also confirmed they are aware of the incident and said an official statement would be issued through the institution’s Information Directorate.
As of the time of the report, the Plateau State Police Command had not released an official statement on the case, while investigations into the killing were ongoing.
