The Greater Tomorrow International College, Arigidi akoko, Ondo State, has been named as the best private secondary school in Nigeria during this year’s World Teachers’ Day/President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award.


A statement by the Chief Executive Officer of the school, Mrs Mojisola Lawal, said the school had always created a good and favorable academic environment for both it’s students and members of staff.
“We have outstanding leadership attributes, reading and brilliant students, hardworking staff, we have created a good and favorable academic environment for both our students and staff and we teach love and discipline which are essential qualities in life,” she said.
Mojisola explained that the school had been victorious in different external competitions at state, regional and national levels, adding that at last academic session (2019/2020), the school emerged as a national champion in 774 YONSPA competition held in Abuja.
It added that all programmes of the school ensured the development of a total child.
“The citadel of learning was deservedly given the award for her outstanding feats recorded over the years. Greater Tomorrow International College was established in September 2001, just two decades ago. It is situated in Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State with a serene and conducive environment that makes learning easy for students. The school is remarkably renowned for attaining academic excellence and upholding high moral standards,” it read.
