A Delta State University (DELSU) student, Chris Oghojafor, has been released after the abductors had allegedly collected a ransom of N3 million.


The Industrial Chemistry student was said to have been kidnapped on the night of Friday, April 22.
The kidnappers had earlier demanded N50 million from the parents of the victim for his release but were negotiated to N3 million.

“My son, Chris Oghojafor, who was kidnapped in Abraka by Fulani herdsmen, since on Friday evening, has just been released now. Glory be to God – J. Oghojafor Esq,” a message from the father of the victim confirming his freedom, stated.
Tribune Online gathered that the boy, after payment of N3m, was released near Ugolo-Orogun by the railway in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.
