Dr. Frank Igbojindu, CEO of Akpoazaa Group and proud UNIZIK alumnus, has pledged N500,000 in prizes and a 500-capacity tent for the university’s 2025 convocation, inspiring alumni to give back and celebrate academic excellence.


The Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, has pledged a total of N500,000 in prizes for the best graduating students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, during the university’s 2025 convocation ceremony.
The award will be distributed across three categories: N250,000 for the overall best graduating student, N150,000 for the best graduating student from the Faculty of Management Sciences, and N100,000 for the best graduating student in the Department of Accountancy.
Dr. Igbojindu, an alumnus of the university and a professional accountant, made this announcement during a visit to the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, on Friday. He described the gesture as a token of appreciation for the institution that shaped his education and career.
In addition to the cash awards, he also donated a 500-capacity tent for the university’s 2025 convocation ceremony and expressed his commitment to further supporting his alma mater.
The Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ikechebelu, commended Dr. Igbojindu’s generosity, emphasizing the importance of alumni contributions in advancing university education. He encouraged other successful graduates to give back to the institution, noting that UNIZIK is dedicated to grooming responsible and accomplished individuals.
Similarly, Prof. PVC Okoye, former Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Frank Nwankwo, current Dean, and Dr. Nestor Amahalu, Head of the Department of Accountancy, expressed their gratitude, praising Dr. Igbojindu as a proud son of the university. They also urged other alumni to follow his example in strengthening and improving the institution.
