JAMB generated ₦22.9 billion in 2024, remitted over ₦6 billion to the federal government, and reaffirmed its commitment to accountability and fairness under the leadership of Professor Ishaq Oloyede.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced it generated ₦22,996,653,265.25 in revenue during 2024 and remitted over ₦6 billion to the federal government as part of its operating surplus after conducting the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to JAMB’s bulletin released on Monday, January 6, 2025, the board spent ₦18,198,739,362.68 on conducting the UTME, paying service providers, and covering operational expenses, including ₦2,119,571,022.88 for staff claims.

The board noted that the ₦6 billion remittance, combined with the ₦1,500 reduction in form fees for candidates, brings its total contribution to ₦9,013,068,510.69 for the year. Under the leadership of its registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB has contributed over ₦50 billion in operating surpluses to the national treasury over the past seven years.
JAMB described 2024 as a “pivotal moment” that showcased the impact of its innovations and reaffirmed its commitment to accountability, transparency, and equity in its operations, particularly in ensuring fairness in the admission process. Looking ahead to 2025, the board pledged to maintain these principles as it continues its mandate.
