Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has disclosed that they have concluded plans to commence a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.

This was revealed by the The Vice Chancellor of Institution, Prof Muhammad Yahuza, this while addressing a news conference on Friday, 31st May, 2019 at the Senate Chamber to roll out activities of the forthcoming 35th Convocation ceremony.

He said the Management had already identified suitable site for the construction of a befitting structure that will house the new Faculty.

According to him there is no specific period for the taking off of the new programme, however, the arrangement is to put everything in motion including the building and recruitment of personnel before contacting the regulatory agencies to secure their approval and accreditation.

Prof. Bello disclosed that the Management of the University is careful on its academic development strategy, pointing out that in BUK, quality and standards are the watch words.  He said that the Management also looked at the peculiar needs of the society.

The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the media for their positive cooperation and urged them to maintain the good relationship for the overall interest of the University. He described the media as the vehicle of positive change in the society.
