The Kwara College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS) has congratulated the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi (SAN).


This is contained in a statement signed by the Provost of the College, Dr Abdullahi Olokoba, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Wednesday.
Olokoba stated on behalf of the management, staff and students of the college that the appointment of Akanbi, an academic and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was well deserved.
He noted Akanbi’s impeccable scholastic records spanning over two decades.
The provost ppreciated Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his choice of Prof. Akanbi.
He said that the state university is fast growing and confident that the legal luminary would perform excellently in his new assignment.

He also commended the Commissioner for Tertiary Institution, Hajia Saadatu Modibbo-Kawu, and rejoiced with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, over the appointment of one of his sons.
“I pray for the Monarch to witness many more of this type of success from the sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate,” Olokoba said.
The provost also prayed for a robust working relationship with KWASU, where the college is affiliated.
He solicited for support of stakeholders to help the new vice chancellor to bequeath a lasting legacy.
